The women of Wad Ras

In 1983, the Women’s Penitentiary Center popularly known as Wad Ras Prison was opened.

It is the oldest prison in Catalonia and women have been retaliated against for their idioologies, for having an abortion or for having practiced prostitution.

When they have free time they talk to each other to get to know each other, to understand why they were imprisoned and to know how to face life in prison.
